Merriam-Webster defines pillar as:
pil•lar
Pronunciation: \ˈpi-lər\
Function: noun
a: a firm upright support for a superstructure
b: a usually ornamental column or shaft; especially : one standing alone for a monument
Notice that the definition of pillar doesn’t really refer to a specific shape. Most people think of a pillar as being round, and while that is the most popular shape of scented soy pillar candles, it’s not the only shape available. In architectural history pillars and support columns have been square, oval, rectangular, pyramid and obelisk shaped (like the Washington Monument). And if you want them, you can find Scented Soy Pillar Candles in all of those shapes too.
