The olfactory nerves (in your nose) are stimulated by fragrances in the air you breathe and they communicate those sensations directly to your brain. Depending on what those sensations tell your brain about your environment, your brain then decides the appropriate way for your mind and body to react to your surroundings. For example, if you smell cookies baking, your brain will probably tell your body to get ready for a snack and your digestive system will respond by leaping in to action.

This is the premise behind using scented soy pillar candles infused with specific essential oils from trees, fruits, herbs, flowers, and other plants to elicit a desirable response from your mind and body. The essential oils are blended with the soy wax (and often other plant based waxes) and allowed to harden into scented soy pillar candles. Want to try out one of the aphrodisiac scented soy pillar candles and see if it perks up your sex life? The ylang-ylang in the box on the right is good for starters. It comes from a small greenish yellow flower found on the cananga tree in the rainforests of the Philippines and Indonesia. The scent is deep, sweet, and rich with traces of jasmine and pleasant hints of custard and rubber. This one is mostly soy wax, and is a round pillar which can be popped out of its resealable tin container or burned right in the can.
